Self-Portrait in a Reflective Object

Use a non-traditional reflective object, (ex.: doorknob, sunglasses, fork, etc.) to create an interesting composition
of a distorted you.

Be sure to be detailed and use a full range of value.

Stick with sketch pencils for this but feel free to add emphasis with color.




Shattered Self-Portrait

Use a photograph of yourself and break up your facial features into shattered fragments.

Plan out the expression of your facial features and the areas emphasized to express emotion.

Expressive Cropped Self-Portrait

Zoom in on your face and crop out hair.

Use expressive (unrealistic) colors while still using realistic shading.
