1st Semester:

For Every New Teacher Assigned Project

This Artistic Process must be demonstrated in your sketchbook*:

1) Develop an idea (written)

2) Find Support (artist or idea research)

3) Thumbmail Sketches (Min. of 4)

4) Develop Larger Sketch and one detail area.

5) Decide color, media, surface, size, principle of design (written annotation)

6) Find Support artist or media reserach (printed photographs with written annotation)

7) Media Experimentation (such as values scales, textures, mark making, etc)

8) Begin working, documenting progress (photos and/or ongoing written reflection-this can be bypassed in short term 1-2 class period project)

9. Final Reflection connecting your work to that of your own and/or others.
